Hannah Lord is an 18 year old Queens Scout from Erindale. Hannah deferred her long standing plans to travel the world to see this project through.
Hannah Lord - Team Leader
Michael is a Queens Scout from Stromlo Venturers and the BVC Chair, and the youngest member of the team. He is not as serious as some people imagine.
Michael Freeman - Project Secretary
Leon is Hannah's trusty sidekick. He has been in everything in recent years and is a Rover and Scout Leader from Erindale.
Leon Mason - Deputy Team Leader
Mel was the Young Canberra Citizen of the year in 2004, and is a cub leader at Lake Ginninderra.
Mel Aveyard - Public Relations Director
Dean was a member of the team in 2004, and comes from Murrumbidgee Rovers
Dean Schneider - Project Treasurer
Cam was the deputy team Leader for the 2004 team. He brings enormous experience and great depth to the team.
Cameron Urquhart - Project Council
Jess was the Asian Paciific Scout of the year for 2005, and is a Queens Scout from Murrumbidgee Rovers.
Jess Thomas - Project Fundraising Director
Amanda was a member of the 2004 team and knows what to expect, and she has taken on the biggest job of the lot!
Amanda Sheehan - Project Catering Manager
Matt really brought us together for this project. He was treasurer in 2004, and managed to bring $10,000 home. His wealth of experience is going to be important to us.
Matt Rigter - Project Council
Bob is a Sergeant in the AFP and a Venturer Leader at Lake Ginninderra. He was instrumental in making the first project a reality.
Bob Sobey - Project Council
Jeremy was a member of the 2004 team, and came back to help run it this time around. Jeremy is the deputy treasurer to Dean.

Liz holds a diploma in Paramedics and spends her time qualifying as an ambulance officer. She did the trip in 2004, and knows what to expect.

What is the Project Council?


The Project Council is a group of ten young people and 5 leaders that are working hard to make this project a reality. In December 2005, we advertised widely for expressions of interest, and from that we were able to establish a team. The new teams photo will be posted as it becomes available.
